Kırıkkale University

Founded on July 03, 1992, Kırıkkale University, Faculty of Science and Letters, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Engineering and Veterinary Faculties; Social Sciences, Science and Health Sciences Institutes and Kırıkkale Vocational School, which is the only unit in operation and taken over from Ankara University. Kırıkkale University, following the foundation of the academic year 1993-1994, 6 departments in 3 faculties, 10 programs in 1 college; It started with 8 departments in 2 institutes.

The Faculty of Medicine, Law, and Education was opened to Kırıkkale University on January 3, 1995, which opened another 3-program college in Keskin at the beginning of the 1994-1995 academic year; The School of Physical Education and Sports was added on August 12, 1998. Students were admitted from these units to the Faculty of Law and Education in 1997-1998 and to the Faculty of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine in the 1998-1999 academic year. The School of Physical Education and Sports started education in the 1999-2000 academic year.

The Research and Application Hospital, which is affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine, was opened in 2001 and came into service. In addition, the establishment of the Faculty of Dentistry was approved by the Council of Ministers on 24/06/2002 and provides outpatient services. Our Faculty of Fine Arts was established on 06.06.2005.

If our Faculty of Health Sciences; According to the article of the Ministry of National Education dated 26.11.2008 and numbered 27338, it was published in the Official Gazette dated 19.12.2008, upon the decision of the Council of Ministers according to the additional article 30 of the Law numbered 2809 and dated 28.03.1983. The number of faculties in our University has reached 10 with the Faculty of Health Sciences. Education activities are carried out with 12 Faculties, 1 Higher School, 7 Vocational Schools, and 3 Institutes.

Kırıkkale is a kind of suburb of Ankara in terms of its proximity and ease of transportation. Kırıkkale University is a point away from the problems of the big city, but its scientific, cultural, and social facilities are easily accessible. Therefore, it is developing at a great speed. The university ranks first among all universities in our country in terms of the low number of students per academic staff.
