As of 2017, the Cappadocia Vocational School, which operates in two campuses located in Cappadocia and Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, with 3,525 students, 165 instructors, and 26 programs, started education in 2005-2006 academic year with 5 programs and 68 students in Mustafapaşa.

The founding mission of our high school, which is the first foundation higher education institution that is directly built-in line with the regional development goals of our country, is the country's small and medium-sized enterprises struggling to bring the sustainable development potential of Büyük Kapadokya from force to the country and increasingly. To train intermediate staff in the quality and quantity they need in order to integrate into the EU economy.

In this framework, the vocational school is structured in line with its international definition as the main task is to provide a career to its students. It is concentrated in the programs aiming to develop direct expertise in the sectors and business lines in which Great Cappadocia has a relative advantage.

The vocational education programs of Cappadocia University are carried out by practice-based methods reminiscent of the master-apprentice relationship applied in the Seljuk period, the Ahi, the guild organizations in the Ottoman period, and supported by today's pedagogical understanding. In this context, training programs are constantly updated in line with sector demands or developments, and theoretical training is reinforced by practice.

In Cappadocia University, which is structured on a two-column system that receives and supports each other, both academically and professionally, there are no units that can be contented with the limited interest left by the faculty members of the faculty that provide their undergraduate and graduate education. They are of paramount importance as they are the units that play a decisive role in saving universities from “standard erosion”.

For this reason, the success of our Cappadocia Vocational School in enriching the process of training intermediate staff with the depth of university education is very important. At the same time, it is to equip our graduates, which we supply hundreds of them to the labor market every year, with skills that make them meaningless to be trained by the employer and facilitate their rapid adaptation to the business life.

As a matter of fact, the “curriculum” applied in the Cappadocia Vocational School has the content that helps the student develop the foresight about the methods and best ways to solve the problems likely to encounter after employment, which ensures that the sector directly understands the macro issues and expectations.

In this context, Cappadocia Vocational School administrators and faculty are expected to closely follow the developments and trends in the program related sectors, to be in close contact with the relevant parties, and to reflect the ever-changing demands of the employer to the curriculum.
