Kafkas University

Kafkas University was founded on 11 July 1992 with the law numbered 3837. Our University, which started its activities by the appointment of the Founding Rector in November 1992, had 245 students and 40 faculty members with a faculty and a single-program vocational high school transferred from Atatürk University. Today, Kafkas University is located in a position that walks quickly and surely on the way to becoming a regional university and looks to the future with confidence and hope.

As of today, our university has a total of 23 academic units, 468 faculty members, and approximately 14 thousand students, including 6 Faculties, 2 High Schools, 5 Vocational Schools, 1 State Conservatory, 3 Institutes, 6 Research Centers in 8 separate campuses in our city. Approximately 4 thousand students enroll at our university every year, mostly from outside the region. It is in a very good position in terms of the number of students per academic staff, with its educational and research activities carried out with our devoted faculty members with national and international experience and knowledge. Modern infrastructure and technical equipment investments required by higher education are being accelerated and continued.

Kafkas University is based on the basic principles and objectives of our constitution and the Higher Education Law. Therefore, it is the indivisible integrity of our country and the wood-free defender of Atatürk's Principles and Revolutions.
