İzmir Democracy University

İzmir Democracy University was established on 20/08/2016, with the addition of Article 170 to the Law No. 2809, and it was decided to establish the following units within the structure of our University with the Additional Article 170 published in the Official Gazette No. 29824 on 07/09/2016.

On 21/01/2017, the President of Izmir Democracy University, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prof.Dr. Bedriye TUNÇSİPER was appointed and the appointment was published in the Official Gazette on 22/01/2017.

Rector Prof. Dr. Bedriye Tunçsiper started her duty on 27/01/2017 at the Izmir Katip Çelebi University Mithatpaşa Campus with the suggestion of the Governorship of Izmir. İzmir Governorship; Upon the allocation of two buildings in Üçkuyular and Güzelyalı belonging to the treasury to our University, the Rectorate activities are carried out at Gürsel Aksel Bulvarı No: 14 as of 22/03/2017.
