Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa

The General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly decided to divide Istanbul University and to establish the Cerrahpaşa University of Istanbul. According to the Anadolu Agency, this university; will consist of Cerrahpaşa Medical, Florence Nightingale Nursing, Hasan Ali Yücel Education, Forestry, Health Sciences, Sports Sciences, Veterinary, Engineering faculties of Istanbul University. The university will include new dentistry, pharmacy, economics, and business faculties.

Health Services, Social Sciences, Forestry, Veterinary Faculty vocational high schools, Forensic Medicine, Cardiology, Neurological Sciences, Lung Diseases and Tuberculosis institutes affiliated to Istanbul University will also be transferred to the new university.

Graduate students studying at Cerrahpaşa Medical, Nursing, Health Sciences, Sports Sciences, Veterinary faculties at Istanbul University Institute of Health Sciences, graduate students studying at the Institute of Educational Sciences at the Faculty of Architecture, graduate education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa will be transferred after that.
