İnönü University

Inonu University, in Turkey Grand National Assembly on January 28, 1975, adopted in the Republican Senate March 25, 1975, and published in the Official Gazette dated April 3, 1975 was established by enacted in 1872 numbered Inonu University Act.

The Faculty of Basic Sciences and the Faculty of Education were first established within our university in 1975. On February 28, 1977, the education and training were started with the admission of students to the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics departments of the Faculty of Basic Sciences.

Malatya Vocational School, which is the first vocational school of İnönü University, was established in 1976 under the Ministry of National Education, Department of Formal Higher Education. It was affiliated to our university by Decree-Law No. 41 dated 20.07.1982.

İnönü University gained a new structure with the Decree-Law No. 41 on the Organization of Higher Education Institutions, which came into force after it was published in the Official Gazette dated 20.07.1982. According to this; The name of the Faculty of Basic Sciences has been changed to the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. In addition, with the Decree-Law No. 41, Adana Academy of Economics and Commercial Sciences, Malatya School of Economics and Commercial Sciences was affiliated to İnönü University as Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.

Our university, which continued its education and training in the present Malatya Science High School until 1984, has moved to the central campus area in the academic year of 1984-1985 and started to develop rapidly.
