Haliç University

Haliç University Library was opened in Mecidiyeköy campus during the 1998-1999 academic year when the university started education and training. In the first years, Mecidiyeköy (1998), Fındıkzade (2003), Şişhane (2004), Kâhürhane (2013) and later Haliç University Library, which has been serving in its campuses, has been serving in two libraries as Sütlüce and Şişhane as of 2015.

With the education and research activities of Haliç University Libraries, it aims to provide all kinds of library resources that students need in order to acquire academic and administrative staff's professional and general cultural knowledge and to provide them with up-to-date technical facilities.

Books in our libraries; It is classified according to the "Library of Congress Classification System" in an open shelf arrangement. All printed sources in the library collection can be scanned through the library catalog.

Our libraries have computers reserved for readers to scan. Also, with wireles access, all readers can access library resources through their own computers.

Information resources in the library were transferred to the computer environment through the "Yordam Library Automation Program", and technical services such as lending, extending the loan period, separating, providing, ordering, printing of labels, and reader services are carried out through the program. Thus, users were enabled to perform all transactions, except borrowing books, through the library. Using the open shelf system, the user can find the resources placed according to the subject on the shelves or get the necessary help from the reference librarian in charge. The lending and returning of books to the user is carried out with the university identities of the students, academics, and staff.
