Gaziantep University

Gaziantep University started its education in 1973 with the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Middle East Technical University and became a public university in Gaziantep, which became a university legal entity in 1987.

Gaziantep University, which has been developing in a balanced way since its establishment, has spread to neighboring provinces (Kilis) and districts (Nizip, Oğuzeli) and has become a regional university consisting of 7 Faculties, 4 Colleges, Turkish Music State Conservatory, 3 institutes, and 7 Vocational Schools. In addition to the affiliated units, efforts to establish Adıyaman Vocational Technical Education Faculty and School of Foreign Languages, as well as a Vocational School in Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zone and Oğuzeli, continue. The number of departments and programs in which students were admitted to all faculties and schools was 104 in 2002.

The language of instruction is English in the Faculty of Engineering and the English Language and Literature Department of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and compulsory foreign language preparatory classes are taught at the Faculty of Medicine and Tourism and Hotel Management Vocational School.

Our university supports all kinds of research and development activities at the highest level with its advanced library facilities, modern research laboratories, and information processing infrastructure offered to its students and all academic staff.

Scientific publications ranking among all universities, including the University of Gaziantep in Turkey's 10 private universities, state universities, and between 5 is located in one of the best universities in Turkey.

Social and cultural activities continue at an increasing pace. Student societies contribute significantly to social and cultural activities through various activities, and many scientific meetings are organized in which economic, political, and international issues that concern our country are attended.
