Duzce University

Düzce University is a state university established in Düzce with the law numbered 5467 and dated 01 March 2006. Beginning in 1976 with Düzce Vocational School, which is affiliated with Istanbul Technical University, the process of becoming a university has been established in 1992 with the establishment of Abant İzzet Baysal University;

Düzce Vocational School, (in Düzce) Akçakoca Tourism Management and Hotel Management School and Akçakoca Vocational School (in Akçakoca) Düzce Faculty of Forestry, Technical Education Faculty, School of Medicine School of Health are located in Düzce Tekel Warehouse.

With the damage to the buildings in the 1999 earthquake, Technical Education and Forestry Faculties continued to provide education in other public buildings temporarily in the city. In 2001, the Faculty of Technical and Forestry moved to the Konuralp campus of the Faculty of Medicine in 2003.

Our university was established as Düzce University with the Law No. 5467 published in the Official Gazette No. 26111 dated March 17, 2006. With this law, Duzce Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Forestry, Technical Education Faculty, Health School, Akçakoca Tourism Management and Hotel Management School, Düzce Vocational School, Akçakoca Vocational School are connected to Düzce University with the structure of Abant İzzet Baysal University. Social Sciences Institute, Institute of Science, and Health Sciences Institute were included in Düzce University.

Later, with the decision of the Council of Ministers published in the Official Gazette No. 26871 on 09 May 2008, the Faculty of Engineering, with the decision of the Council of Ministers published in the Official Gazette No. 27505 dated 26 February 2010, with the decision taken by the Higher Education Council in 2008; Kaynaşlı, Çilimli, Gölyaka, Cumayeri, Gümüşova Vocational Schools and the Vocational School of Health Services were established in 2009 and took their place in the university structure.

Thus, our university, 7 faculties, 2 colleges, 8 vocational schools, 3 institutes, 3 research centers DÜYEM (Düzce University Lifelong Education Center), DAGEM (Düzce University Beekeeping Research and Development Center), DÜKMER (Düzce University Language, History and Cultural Richness Research and Application Center) and research and application hospital, has become the strongest dynamic of our developing region with its 9500 students and young and dynamic 1200-person academic and administrative staff.
