Doğuş Educational Institutions started their education in high school in 1974 in order to educate their students as Atatürkist, modern, secular, democratic, and free-thinking individuals and to give them the awareness and power to contribute to the economic, social and cultural development of our country. Later, it opened Kindergartens, Primary School, Science High School, IB World School, and started to provide service at all levels of primary and secondary education.

Celebrating the 14th anniversary of its foundation, Doğuş University today has a total of 20 departments and 25 undergraduate programs at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Faculty of Arts and Design and the Faculty of Law, with a total of 20 departments and 25 undergraduate programs. I have 18 ten undergraduate programs in primary education, 7 in secondary education. In addition, there are six masters and a doctorate in the Institute of Social Sciences, and three masters and a doctorate in the Institute of Science.

Students of Doğuş University, who obtained the ERASMUS membership (Erasmus University Charter) in the spring semester of the 2003/2004 academic year, benefit from a student exchange in accordance with the Bilateral Agreement signed with more than thirty universities abroad within the framework of the Erasmus Program since 2004/2005.

On the high quality and depth of education and training provided to students at Doğuş University, it is effective that faculty members contribute to science by producing knowledge with their high level of experience, knowledge, and continuous research and development as well as their “teacher” skills. Our university's research and development and publication activities are constantly encouraged and supported by our university, who strive to ensure that our students participate in life as fully as possible and to direct them correctly. According to the number of publications per academic staff (included in the SCI + SSCI + AHÇI indexes) in 2006, Doğuş University rose to 14th among 78 (93 in total) universities.
