Bülent Ecevit University

The origin of the Faculty of Engineering, which is the core of our university, is the Mining Engineering School founded in 1924. This institution passed through the Mining Vocational and Sergeants School, Mining Technical School, Engineering and Architecture Academy phases respectively and became Zonguldak Engineering Faculty with the Law No. 2809 and connected to Hacettepe University Rectorate and became the 9th Annex of the Law No. 3837, published in the Official Gazette dated 11.07.1992. With the article, Zonguldak Karaelmas University was established.

With this law, Zonguldak Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, affiliated with Hacettepe University Rectorate, was affiliated to our Rectorate by taking the name of Çaycuma Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. In addition, depending on our Rector's Office with this law;

With the decision of the Council of Ministers numbered 95/6413 published in the Official Gazette dated 18.01.1995 and numbered 22175;

Ereğli Education Faculty,

With the decision of the Council of Ministers numbered 2002/4306 published in the Official Gazette dated 28.06.2002 and numbered 24799;

Fethi Toker Fine Arts and Design Faculty was established.

With the decision of the Council of Ministers published in the Official Gazette No. 9744 dated 18 December 2005;

Karabük Faculty of Arts and Sciences

Karabük Engineering Faculty was established.

With the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 21.11.2005 and numbered 2005/9691;

Çaycuma Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences

Devrek Faculty of Arts and Sciences

their names have been changed as Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
