Bogazici University

Boğaziçi University or BOUN (Istanbul) for short is a public university. It was founded on September 16, 1863 by Cyrus Hamlin and Christopher Robert under the name Robert College. After over a hundred years of education in today's South Campus to give this name to the establishment of an independent university on September 10, 1971 transferred to the government in Turkey it took its name Bogazici University. Today, Boğaziçi University, which has a total area of ​​1,672,106 m2 and has six campuses, provides education in English.

There are four faculties in Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and Faculty of Engineering. The Faculty of Education, founded in 1982, has five departments:

• Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technologies
• Department of Educational Sciences, where courses are offered in Guidance and Psychological Counseling
• Department of Primary Education, where courses are taught in Science Education, Primary Mathematics Education and Preschool Education.
• Department of Secondary Science and Mathematics Education, where courses in Physics Education, Chemistry Education and Secondary Mathematics Teaching are given.
