Bitlis Eren University

Bitlis Eren University is one of 17 new universities and was established with the Law No. 5662 on the Amendment of the Decree-Law on the Organization of Higher Education Institutions and the Staff Members of the Higher Education Institutions and the Law on the Amendment to the Decree-Law on the General Staff and Its Procedure and approved by Ahmet Necdet Sezer on 28 May 2007. It is located in the province of Bitlis. Campus construction started in June 2009. It has 3 faculties (Faculty of Science and Letters, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Engineering), 3 colleges (School of Health, Kanık Tourism Hotel and School of Physical Education and Sports), and 7 vocational schools.
