A private university with Baskent University, in order to meet the need for qualified higher education institutions of our country, "Turkey Organ Transplantation and Burn Treatment Foundation" and "Haberal Education Foundation" was founded by Founder President Prof.Dr. Mehmet Haberal in 1993.

Today, Başkent University has become one of the leading educational institutions in our country with 11 Faculties, a State Conservatory, 7 Institutes, 6 Vocational Schools, 22 Research Centers, around 1085 lecturers, and about 15,000 students. Başkent University, which has contributed to the life of education and thought since its establishment, continues its education services with an educational approach that meets international standards and competitive conditions.
