Bartın University

Bartin University, Turkey is a state university located in Bartin.

It is one of the 9 state universities established by the Law No. 5765 dated 22/05/2008, which was announced in the Official Gazette dated 31/05/2008 and numbered 26892.

Bartın University; Zonguldak Karaelmas University affiliated to Bartın University, Faculty of Forestry, School of Physical Education and Sports, Bartın Vocational School, Bartın Health Services Vocational School and newly established Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Institute of Social Sciences and Institute of Science ' started its education by establishing and connecting it to the university. Faculty of Education and Literature in 2010, Faculty of Science in 2011, Institute of Educational Sciences, and Faculty of Islamic Sciences in 2012 were established and connected to the university.

Bartın Province, which is located in the Western Black Sea Region, surrounds the Black Sea with its 59 km coastline in the north, Kastamonu in the east, Karabük in the east and south, and Zonguldak in the west. Bart; It is surrounded by mountains that do not exceed 2000 m in height from east, west, and north. The mountains, although not high, are quite steep, steep, and rocky towards the beaches. The highest point is Keçikıran Hill (1619 m.). Aladağ, Kocadağ, Karadağ, Kayaardı, Karasu and Arıt mountains are the most important mountains of the region. The city center is surrounded by Aladag from the west, Karasu mountains from the north, and Arit mountains from the east. The land, which was deeply broken down by the Bartın River and its tributaries, has a very hilly appearance. There are narrow and deep valleys in the areas where the river expands and among the steep slopes of the mountains. Flat plains increase as we descend to the city centers.
