Amasya University is a State University established in Amasya with the Law No. 5467 on the establishment of 15 new universities, which came into force after being published in the Official Gazette No. 26111 dated March 17, 2006.

Our university is young but has a deeply rooted academic background. It is affiliated to Ondokuz Mayıs University, Amasya Education Faculty (1974-1975), Amasya Vocational School (1975-1976), Amasya Health School (1992-1993), and Merzifon Vocational School (1991-1992). ) is an institution founded on foundations with decades of higher education experience.
